Concord & 9th Wreath Turnabout Stamp Set 2019

Hi there and welcome back to Treasures in Letters! Today’s card is another that I am entering in Virginia Lu’s Show & Share (May 2019). She was my mentor in the Altenew Educator Certificate Program and she continues to be a wonderful encourager and inspiration to me. 🙂

As you will notice, I have used the same stamp set as my earlier blog post only this time, I used various different colors rather than different shades of the same color. I hope you like it.

This card features outlined edges in both black multiliner and white gel pen for a more artistic free-hand look.
A vertical sentiment breaks with the traditional horizontal look and the pinstripe background adds a nice touch.

Supplies: Concord & 9th Wreath Turnabout Stamp Set, Altenew Pinstripe Stamp, Altenew inks: Warm Sunshine, Pink Pearl, Just Green, Rocky Shore, Permanent Black, Altenew Pure White Embossing Powder, Black card stock, Neenah Solar White Classic Crest #110 card stock, Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Stamp, Copic Multilier .3, Gina K Designs Theresa Momber Vertical Greetings and Things, Recollections Adhesive Pearls, Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen, Versamark ink.

How I made it: I followed Concord & 9th procedures for turnabout stamps and chose a different color for each turn of the stamp (see colors above). I then outlined all the larger images with a black copic multiliner pen. I then went around and highlighted the leaf images with a white gel pen. I white heat embossed my sentiment with Altenew’s Pure White embossing powder and mounted it on a piece of card stock that I had previously stamped with Altenew’s pinstripe stamp. I stamped a small coordinating sentiment on the bottom of my card and embellished the card with adhesive pearls and thin strips of (scrap) black card stock.

Welcome and Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. To give you a little background about myself, I am a Christian, have been married for 33 years to my wonderful husband and I have two beautiful, adult, married daughters who are dear to me. I love to craft and find it relaxing, challenging, and a way to express a deep desire to create and make things with my hands. In the past my greatest joys in creating came from cross-stitching and sewing (I was a design major in college). But now I find it in paper-crafting, more specifically in card making. My other passions are bike riding, weight training, chocolate, and ice cream.
