2019 Sending Hugs

Birch Press Design: Big Hugs Sugar Script and Altenew Weave Pattern Stencil

Yes, it’s feast or famine! …and I wasn’t kidding when I said that I have been busy in my craft room making cards. Here’s another one that I want to share with you and Virginia’s Show and Share June 2019.

Despite the yellowish tones in this card, the “actual” card is much greener and much prettier in person. You’ll have to take my word on it. 🙂

Supplies: Altenew Weave Pattern Stencil, Altenew Crisp Dye Inks: Bamboo, Parrot, Olive, Moss; Birch Press Designs Big Hugs Sugar Script, My Favorite Things Stitched Basic Edges 2, Birch Press Designs Lingo Thanks Stamp, and the inside sentiments came from The Stamps of Life Llama2 Stamp and Birch Press Hugs Tile Stamp Set, Neenah Solar White CLassic Crest #80, #110 card stock, black card stock, Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink.

Miss You

Birch Press Wishing Mandala Stamp & Stencils

Hi there and welcome back to Treasures in Letters! Today’s card features Ranger Distress Oxide inks and Birch Press’ Wishing Mandala Stamp & Stencils. I’ve entered this card in Virginia Lu’s Show & Share May 2019.

When I finished adding the Distress Oxide inks thru the stencils (using Life Changing Blender brushes), the black outlines had faded and I had already removed the stamp from the Misti stamping tool, so I was stuck in my ability to re-stamp the outlines. I had to find another way to brighten the background and the colors.

What I decided to do was spray the background with Thermoweb‘s Irridescent Glitter Dust. It deepened all the colors and gave the background a beautiful shimmer. You can see the shimmer if you look closely at the photo above. To add more shine and some depth, I added Glossy Accents to the black outlines in the “miss you” sentiment.

Supplies: Birch Press Wishing Mandala Stamp and Stencils, Gina K Amalgum Ink, Ranger Distress Oxides: Mustard Seed, Broken China, Worn Lipstick, Seedless Preserves, Altenew Invisible Alpha, Ranger Glossy Accents, Black card stock, Neenah Solar White Classic Crest #80, #110.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Christmas Cards – Day 7

Blessed Christmas to you all! Today is Christmas Eve and the last day of my Christmas Cards posts for 2018.

I am looking forward to being with my lovely family tonight and tomorrow. May all your celebrations be filled with joy and laughter….and of course, yummy food.

This card is absolutely stunning when you see it in person!

Supplies: Birch Press Grace Dies A, B, & C; We R Memory Keepers 3″ Circle Nesting Dies, Neenah Solar White Classic Crest card stock #80, #110; Spellbinder‘s Glimmer Hot Foil Plate – Joy; Go Press and Foil Gold Foil, American Crafts Core’dinations Kings Crown Glitter Card stock.

To make this card you cut one of each Birch Press Die A, B, & C. Stack them one on top of the other and use liquid glue to adhere them together. On a piece of white card stock, use Go Press & Foil machine to foil the word Joy onto the card stock. Center and cut out the foiled Joy with the 3″ circle die.

Glue the circle in the center of the background die cuts. Put the gold glitter card stock in back of the card front then adhere to a card base. It’s that easy…and oh so beautiful.

Merry Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you!
