Hello!! Today’s blog post is featuring cards made with alcohol inks. Both cards were made with the same background piece. I used an airbrush to move around the alcohol inks. Alcohol inks are so much fun because you just never know what you are going to end up with…but you know it’s going to be great!
The supplies I used on these cards are: Ranger Alcohol Inks: Poppyfield, Pink Sherbert, Salmon, and Watermelon, Ranger Black Enamel Accents, Alcohol Blending Solution, Isopropyl Alcohol, Medium-weight Legion Yupo paper, My Favorite Things Stamps Happy Birthday Script Die, My Favorite Things Stamps YAY For You Stamp Set, Black Card Stock, Neenah Solar White Classic Crest #110 Card Stock.
The contrast of colors on this birthday card is striking and bright. The Happy Birthday sentiment is four layers of cardstock, giving it dimension.
Hi there! Thank you for visiting Treasures In Letters today. I am just posting my Valentine’s cards now because I didn’t want to show them off and risk the recipient’s seeing them ahead of time. 🙂
Today’s cards feature a piece of alcohol inked background from my “stash”. Yes, I continue to work on using some of my stash.
The first card uses: Simon Says Stamp Cupid’s Heart Die, an alcohol inked background that has Ranger Watermelon ink and silver mixative plus a couple of other red-family alcohol inks (it was in my “stash” so I don’t have any notes on exact colors), My Favorite Things Inside/Out Stitched Square STA, Altenew Pure White embossing powder, Versamark ink, and the sentiment is from The Stamps of Life Ice Cream Truck 2 Stamp. Other supplies include: Neenah Solar White Classic Crest card stock #80, #110, a bone folder and Scor-buddy and black card stock.

This beautiful card was for my daughter Courtney and the card below it was for my son-in-law, Chris. Her birthday was on the 16th and his on the 19th. Needless to say, we had fun last Saturday night with our family going out for Chinese food and then having cake at home!
Supplies: Birch Press Wishing Mandala Stamp and Stencil Set, Distress Oxides: Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Salty Ocean, Worn Lipstick, Seedless Preserves, Gina K Amalgum ink, My Favorite Things Stamps Happy Birthday Script Die.
Supplies: Alcohol Ink paper, Ranger Alcohol Inks: Stream, Mermaid, Sailboat Blue, Pool, Indigo, My Favorite Things Stamps Block Happy Birthday Die, Ranger Alcohol Blending Solution, Silver Foil, Shiny Silver card stock, Neenah Solar White Classic Crest #80, #110 card stock, craft foam.
This card is a clean, simple and easy one to replicate. It uses Altenew Floral Art Stamp Set and some Altenew Crisp Dye Inks. I had one of the cards (unfinished) in my “stash” box and decided to finish it off with a sentiment and mount it on a card base. As a result I made 14 more and donated them to my church. I’m thinking of making more of them and just switching up the sentiment. It would make a great sympathy card or birthday card.
