Love & Hugs

Concord & 9th and Altenew

Hi there! Today’s card is a bright and cheerful card sending love and hugs to your favorite person.

Supplies: Altenew Billowing Blossoms Stamp, Altenew Pinstripe Stamp, Altenew Crisp Dye Inks: Pinkalicious, Razzleberry, Starlight, Sea Breeze, Pink Diamond, Snap Dragon, Marigold, Chamomile, Jet Black; Concord & 9th Love & Hugs Stamp Set, Versafine Onyx Black ink, Altenew Crystal Clear Embossing Powder, We R Memory Keepers Nesting Circle Dies, masking paper.

How to make it: Take a piece of Neenah Solar White, Classic Crest #80 cardstock and stamp, in black ink, the Altenew Pinstripe Stamp. On another piece of #80 white cardstock trace a circle in the center of the card. Use the outline to stamp flowers around. Use masking paper in places where you want to stamp close to/over a flower next to it. Stamp some leaf branches, using making paper as needed. Using the nesting circle dies, cut out the circle (you traced) leaving the flowers to look as though they are a wreath. Trim card down to 4″x5.25″. Using the card front, position Love & Hugs stamp in center of a 4.25″x5.5″ (Neenah Solar White, Classic Crest #110) card base; stamp in Versafine Onyx black ink and heat emboss with Altenew crystal clear embossing powder. Cut 2 half-inch strips off the pinstripe card you stamped. (Save the remainder of the card for another project.) Place 1 strip of the pinstripe on each side of the card base (made of #110 Neenah Solar White cardstock) then adhere the card front onto card base.

Welcome and Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. To give you a little background about myself, I am a Christian, have been married for 33 years to my wonderful husband and I have two beautiful, adult, married daughters who are dear to me. I love to craft and find it relaxing, challenging, and a way to express a deep desire to create and make things with my hands. In the past my greatest joys in creating came from cross-stitching and sewing (I was a design major in college). But now I find it in paper-crafting, more specifically in card making. My other passions are bike riding, weight training, chocolate, and ice cream.
